Annie Question!!

After El Gatos dads funeral Gato went into the clearing to try and find the Keeper and his soccer field, but neither were there. Where do you think the soccer field went? Why do you think that the Keeper wasn’t there? Do you think that there is any evidence that the Keeper is a spirit?

I think that the Keeper moved the soccer field somewhere else into the forest. This is because he was able to get the wind moving and stuff like that, so he obviously has some kind of power with nature. I think that the keeper then went with the soccer field, and he is teaching someone else to become the new keeper in the next generation. I think that the keeper is a spirit. I have two reasons for this. This is because El Gatos mom said that there were spirits in the forest. I also think this because the keeper was able to get the wind blowing, and was able to get four “Moons” over the soccer field with his hands.

EL Gato has unlimited amount of ability. He never ceases to amaze me. Although he is great on the field, I believe he has a hard time off the field. He gets into a fight with a fellow teammate, and struggles with his parents. The question I have with this though is that if El Gato did as well off the court then on. DO you think he might have an easier way of going through life? Next to answer your question Annie. There is a ton of evidence that supports that he s a spirit. They are the mysterious disappearing soccer ball, no shadow in the light, and he strange ways. Respond back to the question

I think that the soccer field disappeared or maybe it was moved somewhere else by the Keeper. I think that it is possible that the Keeper is trying to figure out where he can go so he is hanging around wherever he sent the soccer field as he can’t go anywhere else. I think that the Keeper is a spirit because it says he fades occasionally, like he wants to be in two places at once. No human could do this and also no human can have the power to bring down four “moons” or make the trees start “screaming” like the Keeper did.

well, If you have finished the book you would know that the keeper is part of the lost ones. The lost ones were a group of all-stars that were going to win the world cup. They chrashed into the forest behind gato's house. When Gato gave the team
the world cup, the team, finally rested in peace as the disapeared, including the keeper.

I think that the keeper and the soccer field wasn’t there because both had achieved what they needed to. The keeper had made Gato into a brilliant soccer player and I think that was what he had set out to do. I think that the soccer field my reappear later in Gato’s life, but I don’t think it was moved anywhere. It just kind of disappeared. I don’t know where the keeper is, though. I think that he may have just not been able to make himself appear because he seemed like he had been getting weaker.
